Goldendale Gleaners

Gleaning is simply the act of collecting excess fresh foods from farms, gardens, farmers markets, grocers, restaurants, or any other sources in order to provide it to those in need.

The Goldendale Gleaners work to gather foods that are not used in the stores, but are good to eat.

After obtaining the produce they donate the food to local food banks and people of low income who are in need. The Gleaners also give food to New Hope Farms, the senior center, and the soup kitchen. They work with the Gorge Grown Food Network/Columbia Gorge Gleaning Project.
